Eva hat-trick secures the points for WCFC

WCFC 5 - Nunnery Wood 0
The girls faced Nunnery Wood this week, a side they haven't played before.
The opening few minutes saw the girls playing some attractive football, showing their creativity and passing skills. WCFC took the lead after some excellent play, leading to Eva scoring. Minutes later WCFC doubled their lead when Eva scored again, with her shot flying into the top corner.
Nunnery settled into the game and were tough to break down, making the girls think about their positional play. As half time approached, WCFC girls got a number of shots away, with Nunnery's keeper making some confident saves.
Half Time 2-0.
The second half saw a number of changes being made, and the girls determination was reward when Eva completed her hat-trick. That's 8 goals in 4 games for the midfielder!
WCFC continued where they left off, by having a number of attacks. The girls looked dangerous on the break, and this was proven when new signing Thea scored her first goal for the club. The final goal came from a well taken corner by Birmo and was lashed home (on the volley!) by Jacko.
Credit to all the girls as they put into a professional performance, and should gain confidence from today's game.
Thank you to Nunnery for the game and we look forward to seeing you all next week.
Player of the match: Thea, not only for scoring her first goal, but showing the importance of challenging the ball
