WCFC girls remained undefeated

Nunnery Wood 0 - WCFC 7
The girls took on Nunnery for the second week in a row, and started the game brightly. The manager made a number of changes with Megan going in goal, and Mia starting in midfield. The game started positively for the visitors with Mia, Thea and Birmo looking dangerous on the break. The girls were full of energy, and chased the ball well, they took the game to Nunnery. Their efforts were rewarded when Mia slotted home a nice finish, which was quickly followed up by another 2, to complete her hat-trick. The girls continued to look dangerous, especially at corners. You could tell their training session were working.
Belle worked tirelessly on the wing, and seemed really up for today's game, with Millie looking cool, calm and collected every time she had the ball. The girls added to their lead through Ruby who hammered home a thunderbolt.
The girls went into half time, 4-0 up.
After the break saw the girls continue to play positively, and playing some lovely free-flowing football. WCFC had a number of chances and they extended their lead through Ruby. Credit to Nunnery, they showed a fantastic spirit throughout, and credit to their coaches and parents for the all the encouragement they gave the girls.
The final goal came from Birmo, her first in 3 years, with a tidy finish past the keeper.
Overall a convincing performance, which should give them some deserved confidence.
Player of the match - Millie. For her calmness on the ball, whilst also showing her defensive qualities, by tacking throughout.
