Match report by Mark Andrews

So proud of the lads today, their 1st Stourbridge away game against some big lads on a poor pitch, but they played like little superstar soliders, Ethan set the tone in the 1st minute, being brave to out battle a much bigger lad to win the ball back for his team, then in the 2nd minute Alf turned on the edge of a busy box to find Marcel in space at the back stick and instead of thrashing at it, Marcel calmly passed the boys infront.

Tough opening 10 minutes, a real battle with both teams believing and working hard, so it's really important to win the physical battle and show your quality and as the goals go in, the game becomes easier and that's exactly what the boys did, they won the battle and showed their quality with Marcel holding his position superbly and showing great awareness to pull it back for Ethan to poke home the 2nd.

Ethan and Marcel were phenomenal in the opening half and again combined excellently for the third goal. The boys were magnificent all over the pitch, Logan so calm to mop up and return the ball to his team mates and Chris in another action came out and dived superbly to gather the ball in when it seemed Kewford would pull one back, but they didnt and the game opened up slightly with Alf taking full advantage of the space to beat 2 players on route to the box before thrashing home under a heavy challenge to send the boys into the break, the happier team.

With the lads in full control, the 2nd half was more about game management as the lads agreed at half time to try and protect Chris's clean sheet. Zayne worked fantastically to make the ball stick up top and if not for some super goal keeping would of scored a 2nd half hattrick, another trademark Marcel pull back allowed Alf to breach the box to score the only goal of the 2nd period, with Chris tipping a dangerous effort around the post and Zayne heading away a free kick as the boys showed excellent discipline to see the game out.

Unbelievable effort from all the lads today.

9 ... Chris quickly distributed the ball really well into the wide areas and reacted superbly to anything in his box.

9 ... I could write Logan's report in advance, so calm in possession to find the right options, great diagonal balls and communicates so well and seems to developing a great reading of the game too.

9 ... Alf is Alf, always gives me everything to get up and down the pitch, brings quality to the team and scored a great goal today.

9 ... Zayne is learning and developing every week, amazing work rate to do a great job for the team and showing great signs of understanding what I'm asking of him, such a shame he couldn't get himself a goal today.

9 ... Ethan was on par with Marcel today, phenomenal opening 10 minutes being brave in the battle and showing great awareness to link up and hold his postion for his 2 goals.

9 ... Man of the match, Marcel, arrived from Nunnery with the mindset of shooting at every opportunity, has really brought into our way of playing and typified his new attitude again today with his 2 1st half assists.
