Worcester City FC U14 Colts hosted the Wilden Village Youth U14 team at Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Worcester on Saturday 9th November 2024 for a league match.

Manager Laurence Helme presided over the team.

Before kick-off, both teams impeccably observed a minutes silence to mark the anniversary of Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, which commemorates the end of World War One and provides an opportunity to remember those who have died during conflicts for their country. Lest we forget.

First Half
Worcester City Colts had numerous chances to score in the first half, including a shot hitting the cross bar, but couldn’t manage to find the net for a goal.

Second Half
59th Minute:
Goal for Wilden Village Youth.

64th Minute:
Goal for Riley Schofield of Worcester City following a shot from Val Atanasov which was fumbled by the Wilden Village Youth keeper.

65th Minute:
Goal from a header at the back post for Max Baker of Worcester City following a corner with an assist from Val Atanasov.

69th Minute:
Goal from a shot inside the area for Riley Schofield of Worcester City with an assist from Rhys Griffin.

All the City players put in great performances in the game but the player-of-the-match was awarded to Will Kendrick.
