Match report by Tristan Webby

We had an early start today as our hosts Sutton Coldfield offered us a cooked breafast and a large screen to watch the Rugby World Cup Final. A big thank you for the incredible hospitality and the warm welcome. Once the rugby was over, we turned to football.

First Half
Both teams started well as they both looked to play good passing football from the start. However it was advantage Worcester when Tom Mills converted a penalty in the 20th minute. 0-1.

The rest of the half remained the same score as both defences held strong. Overall, City edged the first half, playing some very stylish pass and move football.

Second Half
Sutton came out firing in the second half and quickly won a penalty of their own. George made a great save, but the penalty was retaken and converted. 1-1.

The game was really close for the rest of the game with both teams coming close, hitting the cross bar. However the winner was scored by Sutton in the 90th minute from a corner.

They doubled their advantage in extra time with a long shot. The game ended 1-3.

It was a very close game throughout with the score line not really reflecting the game. It was tough for the 16/17 year olds to compete with 21+ for 90 mins (3 of their over 21s were 1st team players). Sutton Coldfields' experience told and they clinically finished the game.

Thanks to Sutton for hosting the rugby in the morning and the game afterwards. Good luck to Sutton for the rest of the season.
