It's another quick turnaround for the boys in blue and white as City host Hereford Pegasus on Tuesday night at Claines Lane.
Spirits are high in camp after Elliott Hartley's stoppage time equaliser on Saturday, ahead of Haydn Whitcombe's heroics in the resulting shootout, and City boss Cornes will be hoping that the good feeling continues to ensure a positive result on Tuesday.
That man Elliott Hartley has continued to impress when being introduced from the bench so far this season, also grabbing two goals on his last start in the Floodlit Cup tie at Westfields earlier in the month. A firm fans' favourite, he will no doubt be pushing for a starting spot in this one.
Kyonn Evans was absent from Saturday's squad and it remains to be seen if he'll return for this fixture. Connor Gater has also missed City's last two games, but Chris' squad has managed to cover for his absence so far. This will be City's first league fixture since 9th September, having played in the Floodlit and FA Cups, and FA Vase since then, and will be looking to make it four straight league wins with the three points.
Our visitors Pegasus, meanwhile, are also in great form themselves. Since a 1-5 home defeat to Pershore Town at the end of August, Pegasus are on a run of four straight league wins, and five wins from their last six games in all competitions, which has seen them climb to 7th in the Hellenic League Table. They currently sit level on points with City, however having played three games more at this stage than the home side.
Saturday saw Hereford Pegasus progress in the FA Vase themselves, managing to beat Market Drayton Town 5-0 away from home, with a hat-trick from Saul Thomas setting them up to progress.
On Tuesday evening we welcome Jark Recruitment to Claines Lane as our match sponsors. Jark are one of the UK's largest independent recruitment brands, finding work for thousands of job seekers and supplying hundreds of clients with temporary and permanent staff every week. On Tuesday night we are joined by their Worcester branch. Jark are also Key Commercial Partners of the club this season.
