City started brightly and were playing some good football especially with Chris Withington and Tyler Weir finding space down the right hand side a number of times.

And it was that combination that saw City take the lead with a ball low across the box for young lad, Josh Willis there to stab home, his first senior goal for the Club.

So half time came and even though there were areas where City had played some decent stuff, you still got that feeling that they were stuck in 1st or 2nd gear.

Into the second half and City were ever wasteful with chances that came their way, Tyler Weir with a drive from the edge of the box easily saved by the keeper, moments later Jordan Harrison saw himself dead centre in front of the North Stand with the entire goal to aim at, only to lift it over.

You felt that City would get over the line in this even in 2nd gear. For all the pretty football that Loughborough played you couldn't see them scoring as they had no cutting edge up front since their top scorer had recently moved on from them.

City made changes with Turton, Birley and Baldwin replacing Harrison, Willis and Lockett and suddenly the side looked like they would let this slip.

Loughborough began pressing higher up the pitch and in two's or three's, their substitutes giving them what City had hoped theirs would give them and in the end their fresher legs took over.

A sucker punch for City as Eneremadu found the net and the Loughborough bench were ecstatic leaving the City bench with their heads in their hands.
