City grabbed their biggest win since the 1976 12-2 win against Oswestry with a 9-0 demolition of Racing Club Warwick in a Midland Football League fixture.
It was also the first time since 1985 that two players grabbed a hat-trick in the same game as Demetri Brown and Sean Brain both claimed a match Ball. City gave a debut to new signing Luke Rowe and got off to another attacking start which carried on throughout the whole game. The opener came in the 7th minute when a long punt forward by Dan Jezeph found Brain who was tackled by a defender, but the ball fell to Demetri Brown who finished from 12 yards.
City continued the pressure and on 16 minutes it was 2-0. A Liam Lockett corner was cleared to Luke Rowe who calmly spread the ball back to Liam Lockett, whose cross eventually found Demetri Brown who guided the ball past Bannister.
City continued the pressure with the visitors remonstrating with the referee on every challenge and on 42 minutes they were reduced to 10 as Joseph Smith was shown a straight red card.
On previous occasions City have failed to capitalise on the extra man but City continued their neat build up play and on 55 minutes it was 3-0. Luke English fed a through ball to Demetri Brown whose first time pass found Sean Brain, he then cut back on the six yard box before firing home.
On 62 minutes it was 4-0, Good work from Luke English saw Sean Brain dink a cross for Demetri Brown to head home the first hat-tick of the day.
The visitors were then reduced to 9 as Kevin Thornton was sent to the sin bin.
It took City another 10 minutes to add another which then saw 5 goals in 15 minutes. The fifth came from Liam Lockett when he was picked out from the left by Sean Brain and his shot from the edge of the box gave the keeper no chance.
On 77 minutes Sean Brain added the sixth when he poked home from close range after great work from Lockett.
The 7th came from Sub Jordan Harrison on 80 minutes after he was put through by Marco Adaggio and the eight came two minutes later when Adaggio's shot was blocked and after a goal mouth scramble was finished by Sean Brain for his hat-trick.
The final goal of the game came in added time when great hold up play by Jordan Harrison was rewarded when he picked out Marco Adaggio.
City fans thought a 10th came a minute later but Jordan Harrison's shot found the side netting.
