City fought back from 1-2 down to beat Newark Flowserve 3-2 in an entertaining game at the Victoria Ground.
City made one change from the previous game with Joel Caines coming in for Chris Withington.
The visitors started the game on the front foot and they took the lead in the 15th minute when Zak Goodson did well to turn Craig Jones before driving forward to finish at the far post past Dan Jezeph.
City's best chance in the first half came when Liam Lockett crossed wide from the right but Demetri Brown couldn't get on the end of it.
On 60 minutes City introduced Marco Adaggio and Chris Withington and drew level within a couple of minutes. Luke Rowe and Liam Lockett combined well before the latter set Marco Adaggio clear on the edge of the box who curled the ball around Season-Smithard.
City were on top at this point but it was the visitors who took the lead. Luke English was unable to control a pass from Craig Jones and Mitchell Robinson picked up the loose ball then hit a 70 yard pass into the path of Zak Goodson who beat Craig Jones before firing past Jezeph.
The visitors had a further chance when Tom Potts smashed a free kick from the edge of the box which went inches over the bar but carried on over the wall and into the adjoining car park.
City however, didn't stop playing and thought they had gone level when Marco Adaggio headed home from Lockett but was adjudged offside. On 78 minutes City did draw level. A Liam Lockett free-kick was headed clear to Demetri Brown who hit the ball goal wards, hitting the back of Craig Jones and into the net to make it 2-2.
City continued their neat build up play and went ahead on 81 minutes. Jordan Harrison who replaced Demetri Brown was sent clear by Marco Adaggio and he beat the advancing keeper to lob the ball into the net.
City then had another chance to make it 4-2. A long throw from Luke English was picked up by Harrison who squared to Sean Brain who had the goal at his mercy, but he cut back & the keeper and three defenders did their best to prevent another goal.
With minutes remaining the visitors had a great chance to equalise but Dan Jezeph produced an outstanding save to keep the lead and give City all three points.
