Despite several injuries City earned a point at in form Romulus in the Midland Football League played at The Castle Vale Stadium.
It took City just 45 seconds to get on the score sheet with a well worked move involving Liam Lockett, Dan Okojie and Connor Mooney, the latter taking the ball from Lockett inside the box on the left before hitting a low drive across the keeper.
Sean Brain got a shot in on 13 minutes but from then on for most of the first half City were on the back foot with the hosts having several good chances to draw level. They hit the post on two occasions on 14 minutes one of which saw a great save from Dan Jezeph who somehow managed to get a hand to Willis' shot tipping the ball onto the post.
The Roms had a goal disallowed on 19 minutes when Nadat prodded home a shot from Archer which was saved by Jezeph only to be adjudged to be in an offside position. They then missed golden chances with both Archer and Nadat heading over in quick succession.
On 31 minutes it was all level. A deep cross into the far post on the right was headed back by Nadat straight into the path of Alex Tomkinson who smashed home from 10 yards out.
On 43 minutes a rare attack by City saw Liam Lockett drive into the box and looked to have been caught by Clarke, but he tried to stay on his feet before getting a shot away which went over the bar.
City went back on the attack and a minute later regained the lead. A long ball from Joe Hawkins from City's half was headed back by Sean Brain to Luke English who sent a ball forward into the path of Jordan Harrison who was clattered by keeper Fenney, giving City a penalty which was put away by Sean Brain.
There were far fewer chances in the second half for either side. City had a good shout for a free kick right on the edge of the box turned down on 59 minutes when Sam Hall put a long ball over the top for Sean Brain to run onto. His first touch took the ball out of his reach just as he was tugged back by Fishwick but the appeal was turned down.
Archer had a glorious chance to draw level on 81 minutes but his drive went high over the bar, but on 86 the hosts finally got their second goal. A deep ball in from the right into a packed box was headed into the path of Nadat who volleyed home from 7 yards out.
A good result for City at an in form Romulus.
