City secured the first point of the season after a 0-0 draw v Romulus at Claines Lane.
It was the third game in the League without a goal for City despite a decent performance throughout.
Dave Reynolds and Sean Brain both had opportunities in the first half but Romulus keeper Josh Benton was rarely tested.
Romulus had the best chance of the half when midfielder Chad Degville-Cross shot over from five yards with an open goal in front of him.
The second-half saw City with plenty of possession and neat passing moves but again failed to significantly test the visiting keeper.
Substitute Alfie Bloomer had two opportunities for Romulus, but he chose to take a dive rather than taking a shot at goal when on the edge of the box. In the final minute, forward Kieron Clarke shot at goal which deflected off Craig Jones going inches wide of the post.
