A penalty in the third minute of added time was scored by Sean Brain to earn City a point at Tividale
City, playing under the management of Craig Jones for the first time went behind after just 8 minutes when Lewis McPike was quickest to react to Dan Jezeph's save from Darragh Bustin's effort, finishing from 10 yards out.
Tividale had the best of the early part of the game and it wasn't until the closing moments of the half when City had their best chance but the home side's keeper Adam Harrison quickly adjusted his position to save from Josh Willis.
In the 53rd minute Sean Brain thought he had equalised after slotting home after a defensive error and after being surrounded by Tividale players, the linesman, who did not flag for offside changed his mind after a discussion with the referee to disallow the goal.In the aftermath Kelly was sent to the sin-bin leaving City short for 10 minutes. .
Dan Jezpeh made a series of great saves to deny Tividale extending their lead and having returned to the field Kelly was sent off on 80 minutes for bringing down McPike.
Deep into added time with the rain pouring down, City broke forward on the right and Brain pulled back to substitute Townsend who was bundled over in the box. Sean Brain then stepped up with the penultimate kick of the game to earn City a point.
