City fans turned out in droves once again to set a third straight record crowd since returning to Worcester.
The 530 were however left desperately disappointed as a lethargic City team failed to show up & fell away to a 0-3 defeat.
The first half was slow with City lacking pace and desire to move the ball forward quickly, only forcing three free kicks in dangerous areas, with only one of them testing the keeper - an effort from James Douglas which was superb tipped over by the Lye keeper. A number of corners also failed to cause the visitors any problems.
City fans were expecting a response after the half time break but the City team appeared even slower and it was the visitors who made the break through on 50 minutes. A soft free kick was expertly curled into the top corner by Billingham past a flat footed City keeper Bunn.
Chris Withington and Archie Muirhead were introduced in place of new signing Bisensio Kamilo and Callum Debar and soon after City created a great opportunity when Billy Shaw was put though but his effort was easily saved.
On 76 minutes it was 0-2. A goal kick from City was headed back towards the goal by Archie Muirhead and was flicked onto the Lye forward Tye who outran the defence to calmly finish.
City did react forcing a couple of saves and one goal line clearance but as with previous games, the lack of ability to finish is proving very costly. On 85 minutes Lye were reduced to 10 as Jordan Harrison was shown a straight red card after a goal mouth squabble.
On 90 minutes the visitors added a third as City played out from the back and lost the ball to Whittingham who outrun the City defence & keeper Bunn who looked clear favourite to clear the ball but Whittingham showed more desire to nip the ball past and to finish into an empty net.
