City's recent good run of home form came to an end as Tividale went away with the points after coming back from a goal down in this Midland Football League game.
City fans turned out in their numbers once again to set a record crowd at Claines Lane for the fourth time this season, but majority of the 551 went away disappointed.
Dan Westwood missed the game through injury whilst James Douglas returned to the starting line up after missing the previous game. City looked the stronger side for the majority of the first half but couldn't produce as many chances as in recent games. However, there were chances with the first on 11 minutes, a long ball forward from Adam Harrison eventually found Bailey Fuller but his shot was blocked before being cleared. Chris Sterling then had a long range effort which was easily saved by the Tividale keeper.
On 32 minutes a cross from Jamie Smith found Bailey Fuller but his header went wide. City then forced two corners the second of which was crossed in by Bailey Fuller who found Aaron Roberts on the back post to head home on 38 minutes.
City's lead lasted just a couple of minutes. After conceding a cheap free kick on the Tividale right the in swinging kick was brought down on the edge of the box by Darragh Bustin who then unleashed a superb shot into the top left corner giving Harrison no chance in the City goal.
Whilst City dominated the first half the tables were turned in the second period as the visitors pushed forward at every opportunity.
On 56 minutes an in swinging corner from Hartley was headed goal bound by Birch but cleared off the line by City then on 67 minutes a 25 yard shot from Carter for Tividale crashed off the underside of the bar & bounced off the back of the beaten Harrison before being cleared, then 3 minutes later the visitors were awarded a penalty when Fortune Maphosa was adjudged to have brought down Bustin which was then put away by Luke Carter.
City made changes but were unable to get any rhythm together and the visitors comfortably saw out the remainder of the game.
