City returned from Tividale with a point after a 0-0 draw in blustery conditions at The Beeches.
With Aaron Roberts, Adam Harrison, Billy Shaw and Fortune Maphosa all returning to the side City chose to play with the wind and the slope in the first half & used it to good effect forcing over 10 corners, unfortunately no clear cut chances were created.
On 28 minutes City were forced into a substitution with Aaron Roberts limping off to be replaced by Callum Debar. There were few chances in the first half with City having most of the possession with the wind but neither keeper was forced into any significant saves. On the stroke of half time Tividale had their best chance of the game after good work from Elliott Hartley down the left saw his cross fall to Darragh Bustin but Fortune Mapshosa was on hand to clear.
In the second half it was much the same with City edging possession. City had two opportunities on the break which saw Billy Shaw race clear one on one with the keeper after a through ball from Bailey Fuller, however Hawk raced out to tackle him on the edge of the box. Hawk also prevented a certain goal after Bailey Fuller and was put through clear on the right and with Billy Shaw coming in from the left, a square ball would have given City an open goal but Maher was once again too quick and saved the day for Tividale.
