The sun was shining again for this reverse fixture against Cheltenham Town. The County Sports pitch was in great condition for a game of football.

1st Quarter
Cheltenham started brightly and got the first shot in, flying just over the bar. This woke up our boys who got their shape and started to go about their game. Ethan kept his position well to give us our shape and soon Kane scored from a good Worcester passing move. We applied more pressure in the final third and on 7 mins Mac placed in a perfect cross from Kane. Worcester regained possession straight from the kick off and Mac made a great run down the left slotting in a sweet left footed goal. From the kick off we intercepted a pass and forced a corner which Morgan glided in and Alfie headed just wide. With the pressure mounting, Kane got us the fourth goal. Cheltenham continued to compete well but we managed to force another corner, again beautifully delivered by Morgan and this time Alfie was bang on target with a header. Cheltenham gained a corner soon after the kick off but it was defended superbly by Tom who sent Mac on a run down the left. Cutting in towards the goal, Mac anticipated a defensive challenge and a beautifully worked one two with Alfie led to Mac scoring with a sublime volley flying into the net. 6-0 at the break

2nd Quarter
Straight from the kick off Worcester broke forward, a cheeky turn by Charlie gave him the space he needed to shoot and score. Another Morgan corner resulted in Tom rising but heading just over. Cheltenham continued to work hard and forced a great save from the Worcester keeper -Joe. In the midfield Ben was playing well, breaking up play and passing creatively. Morgan started a good passing move, forcing another corner which was taken by Kane. Tom scored with a strong header. From the kick off Cheltenham created a great run and scored a well worked for goal. 8-1 at the break

3rd Quarter
Cheltenham started well putting Worcester under pressure, resulting in a shot going just wide. Worcester regained the ball and Elliot put Cam in who finished superbly, putting the ball in the top right corner. Cheltenham pressed from the kick off, this time forcing a superb save from Worcester keeper - Joel. Zach, who had defended solidly, was positioned perfectly to play in Owen down the left who finished strongly with his left foot, giving the Cheltenham keeper no chance to make the save. More great football from Worcester saw a rebounded shot from Elliot put into the net by Cam. The Worcester defence stood strong against all of Cheltenham's efforts to finish this quarter without conceding further. 11-1 at the break

4th Quarter
Cheltenham continued with pressure from the start but Worcester composed themselves and got back to their passing game. A well worked throw in resulted in Kane finishing nicely. Huge credit to Cheltenham who kept their heads high and gained a well deserved 2nd goal with a fantastic strike. The play was pretty even at this stage but Worcester created the final chance and Morgan took his opportunity and finished well. Final score Worcester City 13 Cheltenham Town 2.

This whole game was played in inspiring spirit and Cheltenham are due great praise for their determination and attitude throughout the game.
