An eagerly anticipated fixture for our lads who wanted to test themselves against the best team in the league so far. Worcester city were welcomed today at whythall park on a cold December morning. The game did not disappoint and was very close through out, with one goal early on deciding the fixture. The goal came after about 3 minutes with a great shot from Worcesters striker Kane Harold, he struck the ball with his laces from outside the area which moved all over the place through the air deceiving our keeper George Glover. George was making his debut in goal for Burton and had a fantastic game, as did his counter part for Worcester who pulled off a couple of crucial saves. Both teams played some great stuff and tried to play out from the back playing through the thirds which is exactly what the FAs new future game plan is all about. The effort the players gave was also first class, which meant even though it was a low scoring game it was certainly a very entertaining one. Just want to say a big thanks to everyone at Worcester who were fantastic and helped make it a positive experience for all the players and people involved.
