Today we welcomed Newport.

Today we welcomed Newport to our home ground, the pitch was playable for the first time since mid December!

1st quarter - Worcester started strong and pushed forward from the outset.8 minutes in Worcester were awarded a penalty which Zach executed as coolly as ever. 2 injuries in the first 10mins forced a reshuffle, but Alfie came on to score a brace and the first quarter closed 3-0.

2nd quarter - In the second quarter Newport passed the ball well but Worcester continued to press forward. Ben proved to be a thorn in the side of any Newport attack. A corner was won and Kane converted a great delivery from Mac.

3rd quarter - The third quarter was Newport's strongest and Joel made some crucial saves. Newport's persistence eventually paid off and they scored with a well taken finish. Morgan pulled one back for Worcester to end the quarter 5-1.

4th quarter - We changed the formation which worked well. Ethan and Tom were strong in defence and Worcester kept pressing Newport. There was some intricate passing around the box between Cam, Kane and Mogsy. Mac collected a ball cleared out from the Newport defence and from about 20 yards out struck the ball, firing it into the top right hand corner. Worcester continued with the pressure and Charlie added to the goals. 7-1

Today proved to be a great team performance by Worcester and I am really proud of all the boys. Newport have some good technical players and are coached in the right way.
