Stroud welcomed Worcester City to Eastington this morning in a top of the table clashed. The game was filmed by Wayne Henley from the JPL and it turned out to be a really competitive game. Even though the pitch was difficult both teams tried to play football in the correct way. It was Worcester who were quickest to start and were 2-0 up in the first quarter, with goals from Kayne Harold and Zachary Humphrys. Stroud came more into the game in the second period and were rewarded when a shot from Christo Bojouri went straght through the unfortunate Worcester goalkeepers legs. 2-1 at half time. The third period saw Stroud exert some sustained pressure on the Worcester goal, but were unable to get the equaliser. In the 4th period Stroud played with three up front to try and get back into the game. Worcester always looked dangerous on the break, but the score remained the same, the final score 2-1 to Worcester. A competitive game, played in the right spirit. Well played boys, and good luck to Worcester for the rest of the season.
