Match report by Scott Fenn

Two goals in the final quarter saw City edged out 3-1 by Kidderminster Harriers in a competitive contest.

The visitors got their crucial lead when a hopeful free-kick into the box sailed into the net and sealed their win with a breakaway goal with the last kick of the match.

Harriers started this entertaining encounter very brightly as City struggled to get to grips with their composed possession and energetic pressing but it was honours even at the first interval.

However four minutes into the second period and moments after home keeper Sam Woolley had made a smart save to turn a shot onto the post, the visitors took the lead when City failed to cut out a through ball and their striker advanced and coolly slotted home.

With four players out injured, City gave JPL debuts to Matthew Athey and Noah Read and their introductions - alongside gritty performances by a number of their team-mates - helped to get their side back into the game.

One of them, the livewire Kyle Shaw, was rewarded for his tireless work upfront when he was tripped in the box. The resultant penalty was tucked home by Saeed Khattak despite a great effort by the Kiddy keeper to keep out.

With Harriers 2-1 up in the final quarter, Woolley pulled off another stunning save from a one-on-one situation before he was beaten again at the death on a breakaway as City pressed for a last-ditch equaliser.
