Match report by Scott Fenn

City came from behind in their latest end-of-season friendly against PS Olympic but couldn’t hold their advantage and will be bitterly disappointed not to have emerged with something from this game.

A first goal for Sam Cotton and a strike from Harry Rebbeck had put the hosts 2-1 in front after a nervy opening that saw PSO take an early lead.

Unfortunately once they had begun to dominate City were unable to extend their lead which was eventually to prove costly as the visitors forced an equaliser just before half-time.

One of the moves of the match saw home keeper Christian Carter pull off an excellent save to tip round the post in the third quarter.

As PSO continued to press, it was a warning that wasn’t heeded as they took advantage of a failed clearance to lash home in the final period.

Within moments of City missing a gilt-edged chance to level, the visitors went straight up the pitch to seal their 4-2 win with a controversial fourth goal - the referee over-ruling his linesman who had flagged offside against a player that had pounced on a rebound to score.

Just one game now remains when City will be hoping to end their season with a win when they welcome Stratford Town to Perdiswell on 27th April.
