A tremendous performance and a fantastic game of football saw Worcester City Youth Under 16s win their important JPL Elite South League clash over the previously undefeated Bristol Inner City.
Matty Patrick-Rivers (2) and Tom Mills scored in the impressive 3-1 win that leaves City in third place one point behind their opponents with a game in hand and three points adrift of table-toppers FAB FC, who they meet on 6th April.
The Under 15s kept their unbeaten record intact after making the long trek to Torquay United but will have mixed feelings after their 3-3 draw. Two Joe Rothery goals seemed to put City well on course for the win before their hosts turned the game around and looked to have clinched an unlikely victory for themselves when they went 3-2 ahead in injury-time.
However with seconds remaining, the visitors showed incredible resolve when Archie Mears levelled matters to ensure his side returned from Devon with a point.
There was a 0-1 loss for City in the Midlands Floodlit Youth League as Evesham United’s defence held firm after taking a second-half lead. A similar scoreline for the Reserves too, who missed a penalty and several good chances versus Gresley.
Defeats for the Under 12s and Under 13s, who were beaten 0-4 and 1-7 by Halesowen Town and Kidderminster Harriers respectively.
