City team up with Worcester FoodBank and St Paul's

We're delighted to announce that we have teamed up with both Worcester FoodBank and St Paul's Hostel this Christmas.

At our boxing day fixture against Bromsgrove Sporting, we will be encouraging supporters of both sides bring items to donate, as we have a drop off point for items to go to Worcester FoodBank, to help combat poverty and hunger in our local area. Should the drop off point prove popular, we will roll this out throughout coming seasons. A 'Shopping List' of most needed items can be found below, and will also be in the matchday programme on the 16th.

Also, on Boxing Day we will be selling mince pies, of which a portion of sales will go to St Paul's Hostel. Donation buckets for St Paul's will also be available on the day, and we will also have members of staff, volunteers and clients from St Paul's in attendance, as our guests.

Worcester FoodBank provides 3-day emergency food parcels to those most in need. In the last year (April 2016-March 2017), they have provided 5,308 3-day food parcels, an increase of 35% compared to the year before.

St Paul's has been a part of Worcester for 40 years, acting as a safety net for those who have hit hard times. The hostel has 46 beds, and offers a safe place with help in building psychological safety, nurture and strengthen appropriate relationships and connect people to the friendships, help and support they need to live an inter-dependent life.

We hope all City and Sporting fans will support both charities this Christmas, be that by buying a mince pie, putting some change into the charity pot or 'bring a tin'.
