Worcester City FC represented by St Barnabas CE Primary School

The National League Trust organised Under 11s Schools Cup South West Finals, in conjunction with some 40 National League member clubs, took place on Monday 27th March.

The event, kindly hosted and organised by Bath City FC Community Foundation, saw seven teams battle it out for the prize of playing at Wembley on 14th May.

The competitors were:-
Bath City - Oldfield Junior School
Gloucester City - St Leonards Primary School
Kidderminster Harriers - Witton Middle School
Maidenhead United - Courthouse Juniors
Oxford City - Hagbourne CE Primary
Torquay United - Preston Primary
Worcester City - St Barnabas CE Primary School

The St Barnabas CE Primary School team was managed on the day by Chris Jenkinson, Sports Teacher at the school. The team is coached during the week by Chris, along with Mark Atkinson, Ed Hagley and Gregory Forrester.

The team played in a Worcester City blue & white striped kit and had a great day, finishing in a very respectable 4th place overall, winning three games, drawing two and only losing one game to the eventual winners Witton Middle School.
A great result on the day, considering the high standard of football played by all teams.

We wish all the teams the best of luck in the Semi Finals and special thanks to Pete Sellwood at Bath City FC Foundation for the great hospitality on the day, along with the members from the National League Trust in organising the event which proved a great success.
