City aiming to get back on track...

THERE’S a local derby at the Victoria Ground on Saturday as we take on Stourport Swifts (kick-off 3.00pm).
City will be eager to get back into winning ways following consecutive defeats at the hands of Highgate United, one in the Buildbase FA Vase and last weekend in the League where we slipped to only our third League reverse of the season.
“We know that we failed to reach the standards we are capable of in the last game,” admitted joint manager, Lee Hughes. “It’s now a case of being able to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and be ready to go again.
“It’s an important game for us on Saturday and the fact that it’s also a local derby adds an extra edge to it.
“I have watched Stourport a few times this season and I expect them to come here well-organised and prepared to battle for everything.
“We have to make sure that our attitude is right and that we are prepared to roll our sleeves up and work our socks off out there.
“If we can first and foremost do that, then I am confident that our quality will shine through.
“It’s a massive three points on offer and with the games coming thick and fast over the next month or so, we need to be able to get back on track and start building some momentum again.”
Our visitors arrive in 13th place in the table having won seven and lost six of their 15 League games so far.
Their last League outing saw them run out 1-0 winners at Lye Town, whilst they have also made progress in the Buildbase FA Vase.
