In their first game back from the Christmas break, Worcester faced off against a strong Birmingham AFC side in what proved to be a great game.
Worcester started off strongly as they took the lead as a result of some good build up play and a tidy finish by Olly Berry. Birmingham however refused to lie down and came back with some good possession which resulted in them drawing level. The half ended Birmingham AFC 1 - 1 Worcester City.
Birmingham started the better in the second half and took the lead early on making it 2-1. Worcester responded however with a superb long range effort from Jack Baker who found the top corner from well outside the box with a fantastic strike.
Searching for the win, Birmingham surged forwards and after a lot of pressure on the Worcester defence they broke through and got a 3rd goal sealing the game in the final 2 minutes.
It was a great game played by two good sides. We wish Birmingham AFC all the best for the rest of the season.
