Q1
Worcester got off to a good start playing some delightful football against a physically strong side on a testing surface. Worcester had two very good opportunities to take the lead through Ashton and Tyrese but both failed to find the target. Ashton kept going and got his reward after 15 mins with a cool finish after a great interchange of passing between Henry, Liam and Jake, before Tyrese and Ashton combined well to set up the goal.
Q2
Rushall did all they could to stop Worcester from playing their free flowing football and created a couple of half chances through good pressing high up the pitch.
Q3
Worcester now got to grips with Rushall’s pressing and started to create angles and space to play some neat football. Again it was missed chances for Worcester with Liam, Tyrese and Guy all going close.
Q4
Rushall came out for the final quarter with the intent of pushing forward and got rewarded with a well taken goal, however this only ignited Worcester who came back with two well taken goals from Ashton and Tyrese. Ashton’s goal was a superb team goal going from back to front whilst combining 10-12 passes before his clinical finish. This was a brilliant team performance in challenging conditions, a real team building game.
