Worcester’s last game of 2018 proved to be there biggest test of the season in a highly competitive game against a very good Halesowen town.
Q1,
The game started at a blistering pace with both sides unable to play much football, tackles were flying in all over the pitch in a very competitive first 20 mins. Worcester had the best opportunity after 15 mins after a throw in down the left.Ashton picked up the ball on the left drove into the box and unleashed a stunning shot into the top corner.
Q2,
With both sets of boys giving their all, the game was in danger of boiling over. The referee handled the situation brilliantly and kept the game flowing. Halesowen had the better chances in this quarter and proved a real threat growing forward.
Q3,
Worcester played their best football in this quarter getting the ball down and creating some good attacks. The pressure paid off and after some good play Tyrese rounded the Gk and slotted home.
Q4,
Halesowen got back into the game and again created some good situations. There were very few chances this quarter as the boys had given so much during the game the tiredness kicked in.
A great game competitive throughout against good opponents.
