City failed to scored for the 12th time this season and it was the 8th defeat so far in the Vanarama Conference North on a cold Humberside.
City's lack of goals once more came back to haunt them and with Wayne Thomas picking up his tenth booking of the season, meaning he will miss two games and Daniel Nti being sent off after two yellow cards, City will need to dig deep in the coming weeks.
City did have chances during the game, the difference being that North Ferriby took theirs.
Aaron Brown had the game’s first opportunity on 10 minutes but headed Sean Geddes’s free-kick over.
Ferriby thought they had won a penalty after 14 minutes. Tom Denton was brought down by keeper Jose Veiga as he went round him. Fortunately Denton was adjudged to be off-side.
Liam King, Danny Clarke and Bolder had chances for Ferriby as they pressed forward before finally scoring 33 minutes when Jason St Juste floated a cross to the far post where Tom Denton rose to place a downward header into the net.
Three minutes later Aaron Brown’s header from a corner was saved by Adam Nicklin then on 44 minutes a low cross was deflected on to the bar by Daniel Nti.
In the 59th minute Ferriby went 2-0 up when Danny Clarke volleyed home Tom Denton’s flick on after City failed to clear after several attempts.
On 72 minutes Daniel Nti was shown a second yellow card and sent off.
Five minutes later the game was over as Danny Hone headed home a Russell Fry corner, unchallenged.
Ferriby substitute Curtis Bateson was unlucky not to score in the final 10 minutes having one shot superbly saved by Veiga and a second hitting the post and City's best chance was from Sean Geddes who fired over the bar from just inside the area..
Wayne Thomas will miss two games following his 10th yellow card & Daniel Nti one game after his two yellow cards.
