Ryan Boot returned to the Club on loan from Port Vale and kept up his unbeaten record with another great performance making two outstanding saves including a late penalty to hand all three points to City.
Carl Heeley also brought in two loan players from Southport; Micah Evans and Johnathan Lynch with Evans going to right midfield and Lynch to left back.
City started much the brighter with an attempt in the very first move of the match. Jonathan Lynch found Mike Symons on the left who cut inside to shoot wide of the left post without troubling the Bay keeper, Chris Sanna.
Tristan Dunkley then caused havoc in the Bay defence with a cross from wide before a Sean Geddes shot was comfortably saved by Sanna.
City were in the ascendency and it took an excellent team effort to take the lead on 15 minutes. With Bay on the attack, Shabir Khan nipped in to cut out an opportunity in the City six yards box which fell to Ellis Deeney who casually played out to Kyle Haynes at right back. He played a long ball to Mike Symons who chested down before sending a ball ahead of Micah Evans. Evans took the ball down to the byline before skipping past the left back and playing the ball into the path of Tristan Dunkley, who made no mistake from six yards out.
Geddes, Deeney and Symons had further efforts before Bays first real chance of the game from a corner which was headed wide by Mike Wilson. Ryan Boot was tested with a couple of long range efforts both both were comfortably collected.
On the stroke of half time Micah Evans attempt to add a second went straight into the side netting.
The second half saw Bay come out looking like a different side and immediately had City on the back foot. Jonathan Royle headed over from a corner before a Baynes whipped in free kick was headed down by Mike Lea whose close range header was fantastically saved by Boot.
City came back into the game with three further efforts from Sean Geddes as the game opened up.
On 84 minutes there came a dramatic twist. Aaron Brown was adjudged to have brought down Ellison in the City box and a penalty was awarded to the hosts. Ellison stepped up and firmly struck the ball but Boot guessed the right way and saved.
Minutes later City broke out with Sean Geddes taking the ball into the Bay box. He was tripped by Taylor to give a penalty to City and Geddes stepped up to make no mistake to give City a 0-2 lead.
A dramatic end to the game to give City all three points in North Wales.
