There may be a wide gulf in wage bills but it was City who strolled to a win at Aggborough with goals from Mike Symons & Sean Geddes, dominating the game from start to finish.
City keeper Ryan boot was rarely involved in the game keeping another clean sheet to move the home side into 10th position.
County's best spell of the game came in the first few minutes with Boot making an early save from Baker, but from then on it was all City.
After three minutes a Micah Evans shot was inadvertently blocked by Mike Symons after good work from Sean Geddes. City attacked down both flanks crossing from wide on several occasions but failing to find an attacking player.
On 32 minutes Richie Baker was booked for the first of several late challenges on Shabir Khan, then on 35 minutes City had their best chance of the half so far after another good move by Geddes, Dunkley and Waldron saw Sean Geddes fire over from 10 yards.
The first goal finally came on 38 minutes. County failed to clear their lines and Kyle Haynes Chipped the ball through for Mike Symons in the 18 yard box chesting the ball down before firing home.
City nearly added a second just a minute later when Wayne Thomas volleyed inches over from just inside the box.
The second half continued the same as the first with City in complete control. Dean Waldron, a product of City's Academy run by Mark Owen, shot from 25 yards forcing Hurst into a diving save forcing a corner.
Mike Symons went close again chesting down an Ellis Deeney cross before hitting a volley which was tipped over by Hurst.
On 62 minutes, County were reduced to 10 men after a second very late challenge on Shabir Khan saw Jack Ryan dismissed.
City continued to boss the game with Sean Geddes going close on two occasions before finally sealing the points on 73 minutes. A throw in deep in side the City half saw Wayne Thomas play the ball across his own box to Haynes. Haynes played it up the line to Waldron, whose first time ball down the line found Evans, his cut back found Geddes on the edge of the box who stroked it into the bottom corner.
City played keep ball as County continued to lose their cool with Moses being booked for a high boot on Ellis Deeney.
With minutes remaining City were reduced to ten men. After another period of keep ball which saw County chasing shadows, the third late and high challenge on Shabir Khan saw the City defender finally lose his cool and he was dismissed for reacting to the challenge from Charlie Russell.
The game may have ended on a sour note for City, but in one of the most one sided encounters witnessed at Aggborough, the City faithful went home with another three points.
