City started the 2015/16 season with a point after a 1-1 draw at Northolme.
In a game which saw over half of the City team going into the Referees book including an injury time sending off for Kieran Morris, it was another game where it should have been all three points.
Darren Campion made the starting lineup joining Kieran Morris, Clayton McDonald, Alex Gudger, Ryan Rowe and George Nash to make their league debuts with Ashley Vincent coming on in the second half to make his.
City dominated the first half as they did most of the game with Ryan Rowe coming close with an acrobatic volley before George Nash's effort was saved by Trinity keeper Jan Budtz.
Budtz, who was named Trinity Man of The Match with 20 minutes remaining, was by far the busier keeper throughout the match & Nathan Vaughan's main contribution to the first half was to be harshly booked for grabbing the ball wide on the edge of the box level with the goal line.
In the 55th minute Ryan Rowe who had a decent debut for City hit a blistering shot which was tipped over by Budtz for a corner just after a Sean Geddes free kick was parred away.
Rowe was in the action again soon after when after being put through by Sean Geddes, couldn't quite manage to get enough on the ball and prodded wide.
Ashley Vincent came on for Daniel Nit and within a couple of minutes was involved in the opening goal. After gathering the ball on the left wing, he pushed to the goal line crossing into the path of Ryan Rowe who side footed home to give City a deserved lead.
Despite City's overall domination Trinity didn't give up and were always in with a shout. The arrival of Darryn Stamp appeared to lift the home fans and Team as they pushed forward with determination for the first time, forcing several corners. In the 81st minute after forcing another corner, Stamp headed home at the near post from a Simon Russell cross for the equaliser.
Trinity in their best spell of the game continued to push but City managed to weather the storm to take a point however the game was to end on a sour note when in the fourth minute of injury time Kieran Morris was given a second yellow card for another innocuous challenge.
