Daniel Nti produced arguably his best performance in a Worcester City shirt to steer the home side to a 2-1 win in this Vanarama National League North Match.
His first half equaliser was followed up by a match winning performance in the second half, terrorising Lowestoft down the right flank before eventually being brought down in the box which Sean Geddes smashed home.
City made two changes from Tuesday nights home defeat to Tamworth with Ashley Vincent and Connor Gater starting with Tyler Weir still recovering from his head wound received during the Tamworth match and Kieran Morris dropping to the bench.
City had an early let off in the first minute as Lowestoft gained possession from City's kick off and Chris Hendersons long ball forward was missed by Nathan Vaughan on the edge of the box but Daniel Crow was unable to guide the ball into the empty net.
There wasn't much to shout about for the first third of the game until Lowestoft took a 29th minute lead. Good work from Jake Reed and Crow led to Henderson being put through and his shot was smashed into the top corner giving Vaughan no chance.
Lowestoft forced two more chances in quick succession but were unable to capitalise on either.
In the 39th minute the scores were level. Ellis Deeney crossed in which was headed down by Clayton McDonald into the path of the stretching Daniel Nti who shot rebounded off the post along the goal line into the side netting to make it 1-1.
Three minutes later City were reduced to 10 men as Ashley Vincent needlessly got into a tussle with Jack Ainsley before wrestling him to the ground with the referee instantly producing a straight red card.
If City's first half was patchy in places, the second half was the complete opposite, dominating the half and creating several good chances and containing Lowestoft to the counter attack.
Sean Geddes went close with drive from the edge of the box in the 46th minute, then Ryan Rowe's effort was saved by Jessop.
Daniel Nti then had a chance but Jessop again denied him. Nit was involved in everything going forward backed up by the excellent Connor Gater, Ellis Deeney and Sean Geddess, ably backed up by Clayton McDonald who dominated the City back line.
With 15 minutes to go Nti again surged forward this time being brought down by Bammant with the referee instantly pointing to the spot. Sean Geddes then stepped up to bag his first of the season, sending Jessop the wrong way.
Ten man City continued to press to the final whistle with Ellis Deeney and Geddes both having chances.
The four minutes of added time saw City keep the ball denying Lowestoft an opportunity to equalise and the final whistle saw the noisy City faithful show their appreciation for a great second half performance.
