A fourteen minute hat-trick from Sean Brain gave City all three points in this Midland Football League Game. The forward who replaced Jordan Harrison with 20 minutes to go, scored a penalty which he then followed up with two in added time.
City got off to another good start forcing early chances until Demetri Brown intercepted a ball on the edge of the box before firing home his third in two games. City then had two goals disallowed before Selston were reduced to 10 men after 40 minutes when Joe Naylor was shown a straight Red Card.
The second half saw City continue with the pressure but the home side equalised after forcing a corner which was turned into his own net by Joe Hawkins.
On 70 minutes City then make two changes with Sean Brain coming on for Jordan Harrison and Colin Smith coming on for Joel Caines.
With 15 minutes remaining, Selston were reduced to nine men when Sean Gregory was shown a second yellow card after bringing down Brain, who stepped up to give City a 1-2 lead from the penalty spot.
Selston tried to force the equaliser with minutes remaining but City broke out to add a third. Great work from Demetri Brown on the left saw his low cross tapped home by Sean Brain.
Deep into injury time, Brain added his third with a well hit shot strike across keeper Baldwin, giving him no chance.
