City are still looking for their first win in the Skrill Conference North after a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford Park Avenue.
New signings Exodus Geohaghon and Nathan Rooney made their debuts, but despite being at the heart of everything, lack of match games from both players was evident.
Not for the first time, City lost by the odd goal, it could have been more but City had their fair share of chances and crucially didn't take them when the opportunities arose.
City started off well once again having plenty of possession but in the 19th minute conceded another soft goal. With Daniel Nti sent clear from an Ashley Sammons pass & about to shoot, Bradford snatched the ball and quickly broke clear. City had two opportunities to clear but the ball dropped to Paul Walker just in side the 18 yard box and steered home to make it 1-0.
Bradford had two further opportunites to increase their lead before the break but the closest they came was when Alex Davidson hit the post after a Geohaghon mistake.
In the second half City snatched an equalizer. In the 59th minute Bradford again easily cleared a City corner and broke clear and City looked in trouble, but an excellent tackle from Luke Hubbins found Tom Thorley whose cross field pass found Danny Glover. A one-two with Geohaghon saw Glover free in the box and his cross was steered home by Ethan Moore.
At this stage City had an opportunity to take something from the game but they failed to make the best of their chances but it was Bradford who had the better chances which was summed up in the 86th minute.
A Paul Walker corner was unchallenged and Steve Mallory rose above everyone else to head home the winner.
