City earned a point in a goalless draw against Guiseley at Aggborough and climbed out of the bottom three.
In a match with few chances it was City who did the most of the attacking with Guiseley restricted to attacking on the break.
Despite starting well with plenty of possession and neat passing it looked like City might be in for a tough evening but despite this Guiseley didn't really trouble Ryan Boot in the first half and when City put them under pressure the neat passing became somewhat restricted.
Steven Leslie fired wide on three occasions but the closest City came in the first half was in stoppage time with Aaron Williams heading an Ellis Deeney corner wide.
The second half saw City with the majority of the possession with attacks coming down both flanks & it was Tyler Weir who came closest when he shot was pushed away from the Guiseley keeper Steve Drench.
Guiseley's best spell in the second half came in stoppage time when they forced a corners and a free kick but City defended well to claim a point in front of a crowd 337.
