City came away from Damson Park with a point in this Boxing Day local derby
If offered a point at the start of the game Carl Heeley would have taken it, but City who dominated long spells of the game felt frustrated not to come away with all three points.
Second placed Moors were second best for most of the game and it was City who looked more likely to score in the first half when Ethan Moore came close on two occasions.
The game changed on 62 minutes when Richard Munday was substituted after aggravating his hamstring injury & within a minute Moors had taken the lead. City lost possession on the half way line and Junior English, who had come on two minutes before crossed to Ryan Beswick and his tame shot beat both Sam Smith (who had come on for Richard Munday) & Jose Viega.
City continued to press then on 73 minutes Michael Blackwood received a second yellow card when he pulled back Daniel Nti who was bearing down on goal.
With forwards Daniel Nti, Ethan Moore, Danny Glover and Dominic Dell all on the pitch City threw defenders forward and were rewarded in the closing minutes when Sam Smith flicked a Ebby Nelson-Addy ball on into the path of Ethan Moore who prodded home under the advancing Jasbir Singh.
It was no more than City deserved sending the large travelling support home happy, leaving City with four points from six so far over the festive period.
