"Onwards and upwards"

I would like to congratulate Tim, the squad and all of the staff on an entertaining and enjoyable season. After a little bit of a slow start, we produced some great football, especially at home, a great run before Christmas put us in the mix and we stayed there until the end of the season finishing in a creditable fourth position. The long Christmas break didn’t help, along with all of the injuries we accumulated, but it was fantastic to see the squad grow, and it sets us up for an exciting summer and 2022/23 season moving forward.

Since the season has finished, the board and I have been hard at work, looking to move the club forward off the pitch. Sponsorship is huge for our football club and we have been working hard to secure new and existing sponsors for the season ahead. Our new sponsorship brochure has been released today, along with the new Family And Friends discount card scheme going from strength to strength. Family And Friends has already seen us connect with a whole range of fantastic local businesses, in return, giving all members exclusive discounts on products and services. For more information on becoming a commercial partner or sponsor, please do get in touch commercial@worcestercityfc.org / info@worcestercityfc.org - We would love to have you involved!

Regarding Claines Lane, we have plans to improve the playing surface and are looking at improving the standing areas around the pitch for supporters. We have taken fan feedback on board, and we can assure you these are both top priority. There are also other improvements we are looking at but it all comes down to finance.

Plans and discussions are well underway between The Board and Tim and his backroom staff for next season. We are very fortunate to have a lot of quality players that want to play for this Football Club. A lot of work is going on behind the scenes, and we will bring you all of the news in due course. We are really looking forward to the new season, and now with confirmation that we will be once again playing in the Midlands Football League, we will be signing off on a number of plans very soon.

I’ve been asked by many supporters what our plans are regarding our playing kit for next season. Right now, we are currently engaging in discussions, and when a decision is made you will be the first to know.

We will also be issuing details regarding prices of 2022/23 season tickets very soon. We have decided to re-introduce 10 match season tickets once again, based on fan feedback.

Now we are back home and playing in the City, I am making a call for your help to make the Club a success on and off the pitch. We are always looking for more volunteers on match days. Even if you can only help for an hour or two, please do get in touch: chairman@worcestercityfc.org.

I urge you, if you haven't already, to join The Supporters Trust. It costs £10 a year to become a joint-owner of this historic Football Club. There is also the Team Builder, which all proceeds go towards boosting the First Team playing budget. It costs just £5 a month to enter, and there are fantastic cash prizes available. And, finally, we have the re-launched NYCDA Weekly Draw (formerly known as Gold Bond) available to join for just a £1 a week. All of these contribute to making your football club more sustainable and securing it's long-term future.

Finally, I would like to say to all City fans, on behalf of myself and my fellow directors, a massive thank you for sticking with us over the turbulent times in exile. We have now returned to our Faithful City and are now back in the local community where the club belongs. Onwards and upwards.

Keep The Faith

Steve
