Match report by Tristan Webby

On an extremely blustery Saturday morning, Worcester City arrived at Perdiswell Leisure Centre to face off against Evosoccer Bath in what was set out to be an excellent game.

Despite the high wind, Worcester City started very well with some fantastic passing football but unfortunately couldn't capitalise on their promising start.

City continued to play quick passing football in the second quarter and continued to press the Bath goal but with no reward. The half ended 0-0.

Bath began to find their feet at the beginning of the second half and the game became a great footballing spectacle, both sides pressing forwards always looking to attack, but it remained 0-0 after the 3rd quarter.

Worcester regained dominance in the fourth quarter and finally broke the deadlock after a superb Tom Griffin through ball found Matt Patrick-Rivers who calmly guided the ball into the bottom corner. 1-0. With new found life, Worcester hared forward again and put the game to bed after good work by Cam Monteith which led to an opening for Tristan Webby. Tristan calmly took the ball forwards and lifted the ball over the Bath keeper to seal the result. 2-0 FT.

In bad conditions, both teams fought brilliantly and played some lovely football throughout the game. We wish Bath all the best for the rest of the season.

Medals awarded by the Evosoccer Bath coach:
Gold Cam Monteith
Silver Tom Mills
Bronze Tom Griffin
